This might be the most important article I write. It’s not finished yet.
Consistency is underrated. Most people chase happiness. They should chase consistency instead. This is what Alex Hormozi meant, I think, when he said: “hard work beats happiness”.
Consistency builds confidence. Confidence comes from showing up. Because showing up every day, even when you don’t feel like it, will keep adding to your skill set, brick by brick. 365 days (or bricks) later, you have a solid wall of confidence. When you have that wall of confidence, you are not desperate to prove to anyone you have that skill, or you have that physique you always dreamed of. You ARE that physique; you are that skill.
Being consistent for a few days is simple, but being consistent for an entire year is hard boring. And that is why most people would never attain that wall.
What are the habits, skills, systems you want to be consistent with? Let me write a few of mine:
- Write here every day.
- Strength training, 45-60 minutes. Daily.
I have been consistent (pretty much) with the following:
- Intermittent fasting.
I think making your desired habits public would make you stick to them. Make you consistent.
To be updated.
